Summer Stays

Summer settles gently at The Grace, with longer days, softer evenings and a rhythm that shifts with the light. Set within the historic Westport Estate, and close to the Atlantic edge, there’s an easy energy to this part of the west at this time of year. Mornings begin slowly, evenings tend to run on, and everything in between is yours to take as it comes.

Westport comes into itself in the summer months. The waterfront town has a natural buzz to it, centred around its streets and quays, and the landscape opens out once you leave the town behind. From the harbour to the foothills of Croagh Patrick, you’re never far from the water or a stretch of ground that feels a world away from everything else.

Some days begin with a plan, while others don’t. You might head out early, follow the coast for a while, spend time on the nearby golf course, or take one of the walking trails through the estate. Or you might stay exactly where you are, and let the day pass at its own pace.

Seasonal packages draw on the surroundings, shaping days that move easily between coast, green and open landscape.

By the time evening comes around, the pace shifts again. You could find yourself at Kelly’s for a drink, or settling in at Black Sheep for dinner, or just heading back to your room a little earlier than expected.
